Colourless, thermally stable and non-carbonising synthetic fluid, 350 Cst Dimethyl Polysiloxane (Silicone) may be used as a lubricant and release agent in food manufacturing areas where contact with foodstuff is unavoidable.
350 Cst Silicone provides excellent results in the release of baked foodstuffs from pans and/or trays. It is especially effective in the release of delicate cake and confectionery items. Dimethyl Polysiloxane (Silicone) within the range of 300 – 1050 centistokes is classified as a food additive by The Miscellaneous Food Additives Regulations 1995, when used in the appropriate proportions. (An excerpt of the relevant section is attached). Is listed as GRAS (generally regarded as, safe for food contact). Meets and exceeds USDA H1 (1998) requirements.
Typical uses
FF132A has also found use as a release agent within the baking industry. FF132A may be used to soften and remove carbon deposits which have built up on machinery and chains, without the use of abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents. When used as a lubricant FF132A provides a long lasting low friction coating on any surface (use sparingly).
