FF168 is specially developed with an exceptionally high solid content for the lubrication of heavily loaded 5th Wheel plates on tractor units. Often copied but never equaled – ensure you use the original and the best.
Specially developed Heavy Duty grease fortified with high levels of molybdenum disulphide (MoS2) and graphite solid film lubricants. This grease is very tenacious and will resist “pounding out” and shearing even under shock loading, the solid additives adhere to metal surfaces where required under pressure, to provide a long-life lubricant film. FF168 is highly water resistant (including salt water) and can be recommended for lubrication duties on equipment working in aqueous conditions.
Typical uses
MDS 5th wheel Plate grease is specifically designed to lubricate the 5th Wheels on articulated vehicles. FF168 has many other applications including lubrication of excavator bucket pins, certain constant velocity joints, fifth wheel mechanisms and general assembly work where metal to metal contact needs to avoided.
